Indonesian Students’ Visit

Indonesian Students’ Memorable Visit To MCC

On 5 September 2024, we welcomed 21 students from Kairos Gracia International School in Jakarta for their Cultural and English immersion program.

Their visit began with a vibrant Primary Assembly celebrating Indonesian Day. Our Primary students delivered an energetic dance and singing performance to welcome our guests to the College.

On Saturday, the adventure continued as some of our MCC students joined them for an exciting day in Lancelin. They enjoyed sandboarding in the dunes, guided by Mr Rosolin and Mr Entwistle. Following this, they enjoyed a picnic in the park, a refreshing swim at the beach, and a visit to the Pinnacles Desert.

The highlight of Wednesday was the special performance of the traditional Indonesian “Nusantara Dance” during the Secondary Assembly, which was a real treat for our students.

Throughout their stay, the visiting students participated in lessons across both the Primary and Secondary campuses and had several memorable experiences. They had a great time preparing Aussie party food with Mrs Wiese, crafting wooden Koala souvenirs with Mr Hockley, and competing in a basketball competition organised by Mr Croot.
Looking ahead, the students are excited about the camp this afternoon, which promises more opportunities for fellowship with MCC students.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this program a success.
