Year 4 Celebrate ATSIC Day
On Friday, 9 August, our Primary campus celebrated National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day with a special assembly. The theme for 2024, “Strong in Culture, Stronger Together,” set the tone for an inspiring event highlighting the importance of cultural diversity and unity.
Students took turns speaking about the rich traditions, languages, art, and music of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Their speeches reminded us of the value of respecting and learning from each other’s backgrounds. The highlight of the assembly was a performance of the traditional Torres Strait Islander song “Taba Naba.” The entire class participated, singing and performing the actions together. We are proud of our students for their efforts and look forward to future celebrations.
