Secondary Assembly

Celebrating Academic Excellence

On Wednesday, 7 August, the Secondary Campus held an Academic Excellence Assembly in the Great Hall, celebrating students’ achievements from Years 7 to 12.

The event began with a Year 8 Media slideshow highlighting the semester’s events. Students who attained exceptional average marks across MESH subjects and courses were honoured and enjoyed a special morning tea afterwards. We were pleased to welcome Dr Gregg Weaver, Chief Education Officer of the Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA), as well as parents of our students. Additionally, we presented the MCC Community Award during the event.

The Assembly featured musical performances by Matisse, Amelie, and Bodhi, showcasing their skill and hard work.

Mr Tim Oates, Head of Secondary, spoke to the students about the significance of character and values. He used the experiences of athletes Saya and Kai Sakakibara as examples to inspire students to reflect on key traits essential for success and how they can embody these qualities at MCC.

A survey will soon be distributed to students and parents to gather input on the values and character traits we aim to cultivate in our MCC community.

Congratulations to all our 2024 Academic Excellence Assembly Award winners!
