Reflecting on our MCC Mission and Values Statements
Recently, our Primary and Secondary staff gathered for a special meeting at the Parkerville Campus to revisit our College’s core purpose and values statements. As a Christian school, we partner with families to empower our students to discover and nurture their God-given talents and gifts. Our goal is to prepare them to confidently take their place in the community and live fulfilling lives in service to the community.
We began our meeting by reflecting on our College’s foundational vision. Both teaching and non-teaching staff shared meaningful discussions about the importance of a unified mission that guides our students’ educational journey from Primary through Secondary. This alignment ensures that our children receive consistent support and guidance as they grow.
A big part of our discussion focused on the character traits and virtues we want to see in our students. We talked about qualities like integrity, empathy, resilience, and responsibility. These virtues are important not only for personal success but also for creating a kind and supportive school culture. By fostering these traits, we help our students to face life’s challenges with determination and courage.
We are excited to include parents and students in developing three or four core values that will shape the culture we are building together. By involving the whole school community, we ensure our values reflect everyone’s hopes and dreams for our College.
As the meeting wrapped up, our staff had a renewed sense of purpose and enthusiasm. This shared mission will undoubtedly strengthen our College Community and enrich the lives of our students.
Blessings
