Year 9 Outdoor Education Camp: Adventure and Growth
On 14 and 15 August, our Year 9 Outdoor Education students embarked on an overnight camp, starting with a scenic (but windy) hike along the Cape-to-Cape Track. They carried their gear, set up camp, and prepared meals, embracing the challenge of self-sufficiency.
On the second day, they pushed their boundaries by exploring the dark passages of Giants Cave, climbing vertical ladders, scrambling over rocks, walking along the cave floors, and reaching 86 metres at its deepest point.
This experience strengthened our students’ resilience and leadership abilities, and it was great to see newly formed friendships. The camp was more than just an adventure; it was a chance for students to grow and connect meaningfully.
